Safety Online (SOL)
COME AND MEET ‘SOL’ (SAFETY ONLINE)
ZC Social Media and Three R’s Teacher Recruitment joined forces to promote keeping safe online to local schools for anti-bullying week (14th November – 18th November).
The partnership is mixing online expertise and the pupils of local schools to help educate the future generations on internet security.
On Monday 14th November ZC Social Media and Three R’s launched the week with two exciting assemblies, one at Longfield Academy, Dartford and the other at Aldington Primary School, Ashford.
The assemblies allowed us to engage with the children by the introduction of ‘SOL’ a costume character devised by ourselves to help introduce ‘Safety Online’ to youngsters.
The key aims for anti-bullying week 2016 are;
To support children and young people to use their #PowerForGood – by understanding the ways in which they are powerful and encouraging individual and collective action to stop bullying and create the best world possible.
To help parents and carers to use their #PowerForGood – through supporting children with issues relating to bullying and working together with schools to stop bullying.
To encourage all teachers, school support staff and youth workers to use their #PowerForGood – by valuing the difference they can make in a child’s life, by taking individual and collective action to prevent bullying and create safe environments where children can thrive.
Three R’s Teacher Recruitment is encouraging schools to promote good behaviour and actions by taking part in a design a poster competition focusing on keeping safe online and practicing good behaviour in the pupils social media.
The winning design will be published to all schools in Kent courtesy of Three R’s Teacher Recruitment and will be treated to a social media training session with Zoe Cairns of ZC Social Media.
Do you know of a school or company that would like a visit from ‘SOL’, if so, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0330 102 5535.
